Racial Injustice

Racial injustice is an issue which is widely practiced in our society. This practice is mostly encouraged by the authorities. Police are amongst those who encourage racial injustices. This is portrayed in the manner they treat blacks compared to whites. Police normally harass the blacks attributing them to criminal acts. There have been reported cases of harassment to the blacks by the police. The blacks are stopped frequently by the police compared to stoppages made of the whites. Police carry out intensive investigation on the blacks whenever they come across them. The blacks are introduced to comprehensive question about their whereabouts as well as being stripped off their pockets. The blacks feel assaulted in since they are even forced to lie down. Most of these blacks are not involved in unlawful acts. They land in to the hands of the police being innocent (Shiffrin, 13). They are not even involved in acts depicting violence such as being loud. Upon spotting the blacks, the police are on their toes to harass them. The argument towards stopping the blacks while on their daily excursion is lame. They may be stooped with the excuse of gunshots. The police associate the blacks with criminal acts even without prior evidence.

It should be understood that in order to maintain society trust, law should be applied on criminals but not assumptions. Trust can be lost by the prejudgment done on people. People are attributed to false account due to prejudgment. How can you judge a person on the basis of arguments such as being black This denotes the fault in our society. All races should be introduced to the same playing ground without favor. Harmony is very important in any society and should be encouraged in all means. Singling out any race portrays a bad picture.

Blacks have been intimidated making them to be as if they are inferior. I agree with the perception given by African Americans of equal treatment. Everyone should be treated equally without any segregation. Martin Luther King played a great role in embracing the essence of equal treatment without skin consideration. He fostered equality between the whites and the blacks through severe means. Corruption has been the norm of our life. This is a deadlock to the success of a society. Acquiring progression should be the mandate of everyone since it is through that we embrace equality. We should go by the phenomenon of remaining innocent until proven guilt. An innocent person should be considered innocent without false allegation. An individual should be considered guilty by having evidence attaching to criminal acts. The authorities should be well defined without letting authority personnel come for our necks. The authorities should be guided by the Constitution without considering themselves everything. Human rights should be followed without mistreating people (Anderson, 167). It should be understood that everyone has a right to live and no one should take advantage of the other. The police are important in controlling criminal acts and they should not misuse their powers in ruining the lives of others. Police are law enforcers and should not at any one time go against the mandate of protecting the people who depend on them. The act of the police portrays the kind of people they are and what we can get from them.

I take side with my peer in agreeing that the blacks are not deviant as they are portrayed in our society. Blacks are just humans like any other and should not be confused to deviant. Happiness should be embraced in all corners of the world. The blacks are labeled in the United States as deviant. This association has left African Americans in the edge of discrimination and inferiority complex. The black race has been overthrown by the American race. It should be noted that everyone can be involved in criminal act. Therefore the act of branding the Blacks as being deviant does not make sense. The blacks are just humans like others and therefore should not be considered as criminals whenever the police encounter them. They are not prone to offenses as believed by authority. Having noted that everyone can be involved in crime, it is not wise to associate the blacks with offenses. The police should change their view that, whenever they meet African American they have met a criminal (Levy, 41). The issue of founding criminals does not stand. Criminals are well identified in the society by considering their acts.

In conclusion, I hereby take the stand of racial injustices in our society. I agree with my peers on some acts done towards the African Americans. The police barricade the blacks and associate them with offenses. They find criminals within the blacks who are frequently stopped by police as opposed to whites who are set free. The police believe that African Americans are deviant individuals. This is not the case as everyone is eligible to crime. The authority is segregate at some point as law protectors enforce the law sparingly. These are racial injustices as most of these weird acts are done to blacks sparing the whites.
