Q1. Identify at least 3 professional roles that were present, discussed, or needed in the case.
This organization badly needs a co-coordinator, some good doctors, few volunteers and an administrative head. Three members Renee, Hannah and Gina remain confident that their case would win and they can run the project autonomously. But they are disgraced by the board. In the board meeting Planned Parenthood regional director is very much needed. Renee, Hannah and Gina are very concerned about their health centre. They have been running it for twenty years, but, due to lack of good doctors they are not able to run the center efficiently. The Planned Parenthood organization wants CHP to merge with them. Otherwise they will run their centers and compete with them. They are here in the board meeting to decide whether they can run the centre independently, whether they have to merge, or whether the only option left out to them is to shut down the centre.

Q2. How was supervision handled in this organization
The lack of proper supervision was the cause of downfall of this organization. This organization never had steady doctors. It was basically set up to help females to abort unwanted pregnancies and related gynecology issues. Many civil bodies did not accept this and protested against them. Newspaper presented bad reports against them. They criticized and abused them. The organization was more than a simple abortion clinic. It was a complete womens clinic. No body understood that. There was also no effort made to rectify the situation. There were 25 members in that project at the beginning. Each took their own position. They did work at which they were good, but also learnt all the other jobs. There was good supervision of work in the beginning but later on it died. There were issues on pay scales. Some wanted more money while others wanted a better position. So there were frequent miscommunications. The members formed a board to decide things. Due to various disturbances by anti clinic workers many members had to leave. Good doctors left. This caused a deficit of good physicians. There was no supervision now. Every thing was topsy-turvy. The entire project was dying. The organization which was alive for twenty years was going to die due to ill name that it earned due to bad supervision. Hence, more than anything else the lack of proper authority and supervision gave way to mismanagement and sickness of the organization.

Q3. What skills do you have that would help this organization through this crisis
First this organization should prove itself. They should initially stop the abortions for smooth functioning. They can continue with womens education. They can educate the women to avoid getting pregnant in the first place. Its a womens right to have a child or not but still abortions are a taboo in most part of the world. The organization is blamed all along. What about the women who go there for abortions Arent they questioned These people have opened this clinic to help women. By giving birth to illegal children what these women are contributing More number of abandoned children will be found. Nip in the bud, is the right thing, and thats what these people are doing. The organization needs a lift. They must be helped by the insurance company. Good doctors should volunteer to work there. More number of educated women should educate the underprivileged and illiterate women. This organization needs help from all sides.

I have the skills of authority, persuasiveness, command and management. First of all I will start building a good name for this organization. I would run pieces of it in the newspaper and invite reporters to visit it and form their own opinion. I would tell them the ill effect of unwanted bastard children and the lives that they would pursue. If they still want it then I would stop the abortions with immediate effect. I would organize the funding of this organization by pursuing those in power and money. I would convince good physicians to give in some valuable time so that they could help the women. Apart from that I would also hire doctors on a regular pay scale basis. I will persuade local youths to work as volunteers and go about educating the women about contraceptives and other birth control methods. I will maintain a proper authority and keep an eye on all the workings of this organization. Slowly but steadily I will bring back the organization to a new improved shape.
