With the development that the world is experiencing in terms of technology, there are a lot of other issues or institutions that are affected by this development other than the world of economics and business. The other institution that has seriously been affected by these developments is the school. In the recent years, there has been development in the way people are schooling. There are also some changes that have taken place in the way schools are now running. Most of the innovations that are now being experienced in schooling may be termed as being positive and having some positive impact on the life of students.  (Noll, 2005)

For instance, if we look at the use of the electronics in schooling, it has ensured that the method of learning is more effective. With the use of the internet, students are able to gather a lot of information using their computers. The internet using some various search engines provide the students with all the information that they need in their researches. This is substituting all the books and the library materials that the students were earlier using.  (Noll, 2005)

In addition, the internet has all the information and there is no instance where the student can say that there is no information available of the topic that he or she may need. It has also been possible for different students in different parts of the world to learn using the internet. This is done through the online distant learning and this is something that was earlier on very difficult as the student had to be physically in the class. However, it should still be noted that the emergency of the innovations that has been performed in the education system through the use of technology has also some disadvantages. For instance the internet is open to everyone irrespective of the age. It has some illicit material for instance some pornographic materials which all the students may have access to. (Noll, 2005)

This calls for stronger application of some principle such as humanism in the education practices. There is a need to protect the students from some of these websites. The reason is that some of these websites are known to contain some information that is continuously destroying the spirits of these students. There is a need to employ the humanistic philosophy which is known to give the life of human being first priority in terms of importance. This means that while we are embracing the new innovations in the education system we should be fully aware of the shortcomings that are attached to these new innovations. This is the only way that we will be able to help the students. We should put their importance ahead of the innovations and therefore look at the best way to help them and prevent them from getting assimilated in this ill culture that is being brooded by misuse of the new technology. (Noll, 2005)

In every government, there exists public and private schools. These are determined by the form of ownership and the management process that exists in the school. Public schools are known to be helpful as they offer education to those people who cannot afford to pay for these important services. However, these government institutions are known to fail in a number of ways. First, public schools are known to have a bureaucratic form of management. This means that decision in these schools takes a long period of time to make and implement. The management is known to affect the teachers and the way they operate. Due to this existence of bureaucracy, teachers are known to give very little to the students. This turns out to be a waste especially to those students that are good and those who have talents that would have been improved. (Noll, 2005)

Due to existence of poor management, public schools are known to brood hooligans and all other forms of criminals. The reason is that there exist a lot of indiscipline cases in these schools as the teachers are not very much interested in ensuring that all the student are disciplined. This means that the students will be undisciplined as they are doing all that they want without being asked. In addition public schools are known to provide education of very low quality because of the existence of poor management. This means that the students who come out of these institutions have very low knowledge. These institutions can therefore be said to deny students a chance to perform well. They deny student a chance to achieve their set goals and missions in life. They are therefore known to sometimes produce students who are bitter that their life has been wasted by the education institution that they attended and sometimes they end up as hooligans because they perceive themselves as being hopeless. (Noll, 2005)

Different parts of the world have different civilization. This means that there exists different level of development in the economy and also in the education system. This has been a major challenge in the education system in that, even though we may all be living in the same real time, we are different demographically and also technologically. This creates a rift in the education system. There are different methods of learning in different places. This creates a problem when a student moves from one region to another. A student will have to struggle to absorb the new learning methods that are in the new place. For instance for a student who comes from a developing country, he will have a problem learning in a school in a developed country because of the changed demographics. (Noll, 2005)

Urban school district has got some challenges in that the schools are located in the town and therefore they are exposed to a lot of issues. Such issues has to do with the discipline because the students are constantly exposed some social activities that take place in town. Examples of these social activities are the existence of discos and night clubs which are known to tempt some of the students. Towns or urban areas are known to be noisy and this may also have an effect on the students or rather the schools that are located in urban areas. (Noll, 2005)

For proper concentration, there is a need for a quite environment. This is not available in the urban areas and this means that the students has to really work hard and focus more to grasp what they learn. This is something that is not there in the rural school. The reason is that these schools are located in the rural areas where there is no noise. There are very few activities in rural areas that would attract the students and therefore they seriously focus on their education something that is unheard of in urban areas. (Noll, 2005)
