Economic system is a set of principles and techniques used to address economic problems. It is composed of people and institutions. The community embraced several principles described as ingredients of successful community revitalization in their bid to achieve the rebirth of their economy which included leadership, participation, vision, patience and organization. Application of the said principles inspires, fortifies and teaches on the survival of communities in the cities. Participation of community members accounts for different economic principles which after careful consideration and harmonization, the best and applicable principles are adopted.

This results in improved growth of the economy. Quality leadership is vital towards growth and sustenance of the economy. Good leaders formulate mechanisms for implementing the economic principles agreed upon. They also come up with better ideas and ways to manage a crisis situation in a more innovative and exhaustive manner.  The economic system involves different projects aimed at generating income and the break even period of the projects varies. This calls for patience as it takes time for the investments to start making profit which is an indicator for growth. In anticipation for future developments and changes, a vision to foresee the future and make appropriate measures is imperative. However, the visions need to be carefully studied and their implications analyzed in order to make informed decisions (Ullman, 2006).

Social action is an individual or group behavior that involves interaction with other individuals or groups towards a social reform. It is an act taking into account the actions and reactions of individuals. Where an acting individual takes account of the behavior of others and is oriented in its course the action is said to be social. The vitality of an empowered community is on the forefront dealing with the issues bedeviling community development such as lack of investment, drugs and crime, cultural misunderstandings and negative city politics. The physical and mental vigor of the community enables it to deal with the above challenges in the best way possible by making sensible, informed applicable decisions solutions.

Advocacy is the process of influencing public policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic and social systems motivated from moral and ethical principles or to protect an asset of interest. In the movie a group of ordinary people fight and persuade city hall in the view to change their stubbornly independent and neighborhood driven approach to urban rejuvenation.  Advocacy is mostly in the form of social justice advocacy which represents the series of actions taken and issues highlighted to change the what is into what should be which is a more just society. Cumulative human power brings about an inspirational image which portrays what neighborhood entailed and what it is developing to through toil. Advocacy is undertaken in such ways as media campaigns and public speaking. The impressions of the complex community issues affecting every individual are demonstrated by peoples voices (Xie, 2003).

Organizing on the other hand involves forming interdependent or coordinated groups for a united action. Exemplary organization leads to the unfolding of the story in a coherent way over time and the experiences of the individuals who actively participated in the tasks involved were captured. The groups in an organization consists of individuals who come together to achieve a common goal. The movie presents a model of different ethnic individuals in solidarity and effective activism which when pooled together perform a specific important task(reviving the economy) comprehensively. The solidarity assists in ironing out the differences and having a common course of action to take.
