When it comes to sex, the males greatest fear is of failure and the females is of not being loved (Cosmopolitan magazine, Philippines 1998).  In our modern and technology advanced world, sex for women still involve emotions.  While most men consider sex as a physical need, for most women they need to have an emotional connection to be able to have sex.  Men on the other hand can just have sex with anyone even if they are not considering having a committed relationship with that person.  A man can wake up the next morning without the guilt and wishing he could hurriedly ask the other person beside him to go away.  Women would have her eyes sparkling the next morning from the joy of feeling emotionally connected to the person beside her.

For those women who are in a committed relationship, sex plays a big role in keeping the fire burning.  Since they are emotionally connected to their partners, they can use sex in a lot of situations.  Sex can be used to relieve their stress.  They can also use sex to reconnect to their partners when they have been together for a long time.  Sex can also be used to reconnect partners after a big fight.  Women also consider sex as a symbolism of their love to their partners and it is a tool for them to be able to start a family.  Women would involve majority of her senses during sex and it makes them feel emotionally connected to their partner.  They would always have time to process each smell, rhythm and breathing.

At the end of the day, any women would agree that whatever purpose sex served in their relationships one factor still stays true.  Love, care and trust were involved.  Sex for women is sacred.
