White-collar crime versus street crime

White collar crime is committed by an individual of high social status and includes bribery, fraud, identity theft, forgery and embezzlement. Street crime on the other hand involves crimes like murder, burglary, violence and drug trafficking. The mode in which criminals in both crimes are sentenced is different due to the nature of the crime committed. Justice system does not treat white collar criminals leniently as compared to street crime.

White collar crimes are not easily detected because they are committed by high profile criminals with a lot of intelligence. Many white collar criminals are usually released from court due to lack of evidence. White collar crimes are considered as light mistakes that results to sentencing disparity compared to street crimes. This disparity of the justice system has contributed to rampant spread of white collar crimes in offices, schools and other private and public places (John, Ian, 2004).

Consequences of female criminality in the current era
In the current era, female criminality has increased due to factor of feminism where women consider themselves of engaging in activities or crimes considered fro men. Women in the current era are turning out to have behavior of men and thus engage in crimes. The consequences of female criminality are that the level of crime will increase due to shifting of action from men to women (John, Ian, 2004).

The legal or justice system considers women as weaker sex and thus is not in a position to commit crime. This means that a woman who is accused of committing a crime may be released on the virtue of inequality. Her release means that she will continue to engage in crimes because justice system defends female criminals. This is a major social problem developing in many countries and the justice system should treat criminals equally so as to reduce the rise of female criminality.
